Speech Title: Synthesis of low-dimensional nanomaterials for electrochemical processes in material science and engineering

 

Muhammad Sufyan Javed is currently serving as a Youth Research Professor (四级教授) and master/doctor supervisor at the School of Physical Science and Technology of Lanzhou University (National 211 and 985 University). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics (2014-2017) from Chongqing University under the guidance of Prof. Chenguo Hu. He has postdoctoral experience (2018-2020) in Prof. Wenjie Mai’s group at Jinan University. Dr. Muhammad Sufyan Javed is in the top 2% of Most Influential Scientists (2022 and 2023). He secured prestigious research funding, including grants from the Postdoctoral Science Foundation of China (2018M633280) and the Guangdong Provincial Project (2020A1515110537) during his postdoctoral stint at Jinan University (2018-2020, Guangdong). He was awarded the Research Fund for International Scientists (RFIS-I 52250410342) from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (completed December 2023). His research interests mainly focus on electrochemical energy storage materials and devices, particularly on MXene-based energy storage materials, biodegradable/implantable energy storage devices. Dr. Javed's academic results have been published in internationally renowned academic journals such as Advanced Energy/Functional Materials, Nano Energy, Small, Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Coordination Chemistry Reviews, Chemical Engineering Journal, Materials Today, Carbon Energy, Energy Storage Materials, and Applied Physics Letters. In the past 7 years (since 2018), the applicant has published over 230 research papers (91 papers as a first/corresponding author), h-index = 55, i10-index = 225, and over 10,500 citations.
